The tikkas were made soon after we finished our jewellery classes that we were attending. just for practise sake.It is quite interesting and easy to make and requires less time compared to the earrings, necklace, bracelet and anklets. Will try to upload our other fashion jewellery (full sets) we made as soon as possible.

Beaded Necklace

Materials
You will need the following materials to make a beaded chain necklace (use as many bead groups as you need for length, add groups or reduce the amount of groups):
Pliers
52 eye-pins (one for each bead you use)
13 medium shiny glass beads (bronzed purple)
13 medium plastic pearl beads (dark purple)
26 medium plastic pearl beads (turquoise)

Instructions

Take one bronzed purple glass bead and slide it onto an eye-pin.
Using the cutting edge of the pliers, cut the eye-pin so that only a small amount sticks above the bead. About the width of your thumb is a good length.
Clamp the pliers immediately above the bead and bend the head pin so that it makes a 90 degree angle to the post.
Re-position the pliers to the end of the head pin, and roll back to create a loop.
Before you close the loop, hook it through the loop of another eye-pin.
Take a turquoise plastic pearl bead and slide it onto the eye-pin that is attached to the other eye-pin with the bronzed purple glass bead.
Make the loop using the technique in steps 2-5, hooking on the next eye pin.
Repeat this pattern for all beads around the necklace, arranging them in the following way:bronzed purple - turquoise - purple pearl - turquoise - bronzed purple - turquoise - purple pearl - turquoise - bronzed purple - turquoise - purple pearl etc.
Each group contains "bronzed purple - turquoise - purple pearl - turquoise - bronzed purple" then repeats until the necklace is finished. To make it longer, add another group of four beads or remove a group to make it shorter

Bead Ring Making

Rings do not feature that prominently in beaded jewelry. This is because the face of the ring is quite small, and this limits the size and amount of beads that you are able to include. It can be an interesting touch to make a ring to match a necklace or earrings, so you should try out a few methods.
The beads used to make a ring need to be quite small or flat. It will be uncomfortable to wear the ring if the beads stick out, and this will also cause it to catch on objects and break the ring.
You will need the following materials to make a ring:
Pliers
25 size 11 seed beads (lighter shade of any colour)
1 small, flat feature bead (darker shade of the above colour)
2 crimps
Nylon bead cord (You'll need less than two inches for the ring, but have a roll of it so you have some length to play with)
Instructions
Slide the first crimp onto the nylon bead cord, and do not squash.
Thread every purple seed bead onto the nylon bead cord.
Slide on the second crimp onto the nylon bead cord
Thread the feature bead onto the nylon bead cord.
Take the end of the nylon bead cord (on the feature bead side) and thread it through the first crimp on the other end. This crimp should now have two lots of nylon bead cord going through it, causing the line of seed beads to create a ring.
Pull both ends of the nylon bead cord to make the ring tight.
Once the ring is formed, squash both crimps to hold the nylon bead cord in place.
Cut off the excess nylon bead cord as close to the crimp as you can.

This method is an extremely fast way to make a ring to match your jewelry. It is a great way to use up any seed beads or feature beads from the project, adding an extra something special the next time you wear all your jewelry together. Happy beading

Bead Jewellery- Earring

Beads had fascinated me right from my childhood. I used to collect various shapes,sizes and colours of beads and try to make something by threading them using cotton thread and needle,but never got to do anything , simply because I did not know

how to make them , ha!ha!. but the fascination about beads never ceased. Now after all these years , I got an oppornunity to learn about beaded jewellery from a craft workshop. it was quite interesting. Now I do many of the beaded jewellery that I use myself. It is also a good gift u can give to ur loved ones. It brings out the creativity in u. Once u know the basic steps involved in beaded jewellery . U can let loose ur imagination and try out new designs and patterns.

Here I have posted The method of making a bead earring, for a start. Will post more under this label in the future.

Bead Earring:

Drop earrings are the easiest earrings to make. You can make them classy with semiprecious stones and silver wire or funky by adding charms and beads.

Materials required:

2 headpins or eyepins

2 earwires beads of your choice

round-nose pliers
spacer beads few

spacer beads are also useful. These are very small metal-colored beads that serve to frame the other beads. If you don't have headpins, you can just bend the end of regular wire in a loop to make your own eyepins.

Method:

1. Head pins have flat heads on the bottom, and are available in different sizes and thicknesses. 2.Put some beads on the head pin. Experiment with different colors and styles.

3.Spacer beads are used to break up the colored beads.

4.Use a pair of round-nose pliers to bend the head-pin 90º.

5.Bend the end of the head pin over to complete the loop. Add a french-wire or other earring finding and you're finished
