Kothu Kadalai sundal- Chick pea snack
It is a very delicious tangy snack seved hot. It is rich in protien and makes an ideal evening snack for all age groups, esp for kids and people with diabetes. It is quite easy to prepare and less time consuming .. I remember I use to love this when I was a kid. Even Now I prepare this for my 4 yr old son often. He too seems to like it.
Ingradients:
Chick pea 1 1/2 cups
Grated coconut(optional) 1 tbsps
Raw manga(finely grated) 1/4
Corainde leaf few
Oil 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Green chilies 3 Nos(finely chopped)
Curry leaves few
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Method:
* Soak the peas overnight and cook with little salt and asafoetida powder until soft and set aside
* Heat oil in a pan , pop the mustard, curry leaves.
*Add the boiled chick pes, green chillies and required salt.
*Remove from fire and add grated mango,coconut and coriander leaves;mix well
Tip: As a n option u can use 1/2 tsp of lime juice instead of raw mango
