Vayakaai Podimaas
Ingredients:
Raw banana - 2
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp.
Dry red chillies - 2
onion - 1 very small
Grated ginger - 1/2 tsp.
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few
Lime - 1
Oil - 2 tsp.
Salt - as per taste
Method:
In a kadai, heat oil, season with mustard seeds, urad dhal, grated ginger and curry leaves. Add onions and saute.
Add the diced bananas and salt. Mix well. Sprinkle some water and cover with a lid. When done, switch off the stove and squeeze the juice of a lemon. Add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and serve hot.
