China Grass dessert

China grass also known as agar agar is a seaweed and hence very good for health.This sets like gelatin but gelatin is made from animal bone and cartilage. Hence vegans and some vegetarians dont take gelatin. Such people can find china grass a blessing. This is a very simple recipe and quick to make.

Ingredients:


China grass
Water
Non citrus juice
Non citrus fruits diced
sugar

Method:

Boil water and dissolve china grass into it. Remove from heat and add juice of your choice. I used apple juice.
Add the diced fruits to the mixture and sugar as needed and allow it to cool.
After cooled, place the container in the fridge and allow it to set.
After an hour your dessert is ready to be served.

Tip:

Dont use citrus juice or fruits as it might disintegrate the china grass and your jelly might not set at all.
