Soap flowers

Hi all,
It has been some time since we posted craft work. So we decided it is high time we posted something new from the previous art and craft posts, and decided on publishing the method of making soap flowers, which are quite interesting to do Gives you scope to use your creativity to the fullest. So let us start with the procedure.

Materials Required:

Soft bathing soaps(eg: lux, different colours)

Fevicol

corn flour

Pot/board for fixing the flowers(base)

Method:

First grate the different colour soaps separately using a coconut grater, and dry that in sun for 1-2 hours
Then In a mixer powder the grated soap.
In a bowl, take soap powder and cornflour in the ratio of 3:1 and add little fevicol and mix well and make a dough.
If you are planning to make roses then use red/pink colored soap and for leaves use green color soap(cinthol) . Choice is yours.
The most important thing to be noted is that you should not expose the doughs to air , as it may dry them up and will lose its pliability/ molding capacity , which is most important in making of soap flowers
Using the dough make flowers and leaves of different sizes and allow them to dry and stick them on the base(pot/board) that you have chosen. On the pot that I have posted I have used santhoor(orange) soap for making those roses and cinthol soap(green) for making the leaves.
Hope this will be of use to you all. Will post some more snaps of other soap flowers that we have made in the future.
